Part of Hydrogen Week 2024, the North West Hydrogen Alliance will bring together local, regional and national stakeholders to discuss the significant progress the North West has made in hydrogen delivery.

This major one day conference is free to attend and will be held on 28th February 2024 at The Spine, Liverpool – a state of the art facility which is on track to be one of the most eco- friendly and healthiest workspaces in the UK.

Following the success of the inaugural Hydrogen Week event in 2023, this year we’ll be showcasing the great things happening in the North West across the full chain of production, distribution, transport, storage and fuel switching. Confirmed speakers include Progressive Energy, Cadent, Essar, EET Hydrogen, Jacobs, University of Liverpool, Hydrogen UK and Grenian Hydrogen. Many more to be announced!

The event will deliver an insightful commentary for individuals across the sector, from investors and policy makers to businesses already in the hydrogen space and those looking to enter.

Webinar: The role of hydrogen in green recovery

As the country looks to recovery from COVID-19, this webinar will look at the role of hydrogen in green recovery. With the potential for hydrogen to decarbonise our homes, businesses and industry we will talk to some of the key partners at the forefront of developing a hydrogen economy in the UK. Attendees will hear about HyNet, one of the country’s leading hydrogen and carbon capture utilisation and storage projects, Peel Environmental’s Protos site, where a UK first plastics waste to hydrogen facility is proposed, and plans by Alstom to develop hydrogen trains in Widnes. It will look at what’s needed to drive the hydrogen economy and how this can be a vital part of green recovery, driving jobs, investment and supply chain opportunities.
